Connect Zoom

Connect your Zoom account to schedule interviews and automatically send join links to candidates.

Prerequisites

  • Company role: Admin (required to connect or disconnect integrations)
  • Subscription: An active plan with access to Integrations (not Free)
  • Zoom: A Zoom account that can create meetings (User-managed OAuth)

Step-by-step: connect Zoom

  1. Open Dashboard → Integrations.
  2. Click Connect Zoom.
  3. Sign in to Zoom and review the requested permissions, then approve.
  4. After a successful connection, the card shows that Zoom is connected.
  5. Verify by creating an interview with Mode = Online from the interview form.

Usage by feature or action

  • Auto-create Zoom link

    • Use case: Quickly add an online meeting when scheduling an interview.
    • How it works: If Mode = Online and you leave the location/link empty, the system automatically creates a Zoom meeting and fills the join link.
    • Prerequisites: Zoom connected, interview date/time set, plan has Integrations access.
  • Create Zoom manually

    • Use case: You prefer explicit control over creation or are updating an existing interview.
    • How it works: Click Create Zoom in the interview form to generate a meeting even if a link exists.
    • Prerequisites: Zoom connected; interview date/time set.
  • Update Zoom meeting on reschedule

    • Use case: Dates change but you want to keep the same meeting.
    • How it works: When you reschedule an interview, the linked Zoom meeting is updated.
    • Prerequisites: Zoom connected; existing Zoom meeting on the interview.
  • Cancel or remove the Zoom meeting

    • Use case: The interview is canceled or moved to in-person.
    • How it works: Delete the interview or switch Mode off Online; remove the link if you no longer want the Zoom meeting associated. Existing meetings in Zoom are not deleted automatically unless specifically supported by your workflow.
    • Prerequisites: None beyond having an existing meeting.

Troubleshooting

  • Not connected / zoom_not_connected: Reconnect from Dashboard → Integrations.
  • No authorization code (zoom_no_code): Restart the connect flow and approve permissions.
  • Subscription limits: Some features are disabled on Free plans.
  • Still stuck? Contact support with the time of the error and the message shown.

Remove the app

There are two parts: disconnect in the dashboard and remove the app from your Zoom account.

  1. Disconnect in the dashboard
  • Go to Dashboard → Integrations → Zoom → Disconnect.
  • This deletes stored Zoom tokens for your company on our side.
  1. Remove from Zoom account
  • Visit Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps → locate the app → Remove.
  • Consequences: All previously issued tokens are invalidated; automatic creation/updates stop immediately. Existing meetings already created in Zoom remain in Zoom unless you delete them there.

Data removal and special requirements

  • Data deletion: Disconnecting removes tokens from our system. To request a full data purge, contact support.
  • Consequences of deauthorization: No new meetings can be created/updated automatically until you reconnect.
  • Requirements: Only company admins can connect/disconnect; you may also need to be a Zoom account owner/admin to remove the app from Zoom.
